This position supports LG&E KU as a ROW Coordinator.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Responsible for data and resource management to support the client.
Work in an office environment or field, which will require driving to client field sites as needed.
Oversight of an area for compliance of vegetation for utility facilities and corridors.
Conduct aerial patrols of electric system in a helicopter.
Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
Local tree identification skills.
Prior experience using GIS software.
Prior experience in data and resource management.
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Ability to communicate and work with different crew types, personnel, and utility individuals.
Ability to drive long distances (within the state).
Prior experience with budget tracking and management.
Ability to utilize excel spreadsheets, Microsoft office suite, and additional work management tools.
Ability to logistically support crews and LG&E KU personnel for vegetation management activities.
WHAT WOULD BE AMAZING TO HAVE:
Associate or Bachelors Degree in Forestry, Environmental Science or related field preferred.
3
years prior UVM experience-preferably on transmissions ROW.
ISA certification a plus.
Being Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ECI FORESTER:
Working Environment Work alone in an outdoor field environment; vehicle and foot patrol of utility power lines; remote locations as well as urban, city environment; physical demands and travel from site to site, including walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills, and slopes; exposure to noise, dust, grease, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions.
